Day 4: Colorado Springs, Canon City, Salida
(The Longest Day: 102 Miles of Riding!)
| Heading down Highway 115 towards Penrose. |
| Hooray! I began my ride around 5:20 a.m., and made it to Canon City at about 9 a.m. |
| Upon going west out of town, things become very much uphill heading towards Royal Gorge and into the canyon! ;) |
| That's me, resting! :) |
| From Parkdale to Salida, you're in an extremely scenic canyon that goes slightly uphill all the way to Salida. |
The Arkansas River runs through like a playful child! ;)
And LOOK! Those rafters came along just as I was taking a picture of the river! |

| Looking west, the mighty Sangre de Cristo Mountains pop their heads! |
| Hooray! I reached the town of Cotopaxi! |
I rested for a little bit at the Cotopaxi General Store, and I bought some sunflower seeds!

| By the way, this was a really nice woman at the General Store. |
| This postcard give a good shot of the scenery that way. |
| Peddling through Howard, Colorado |
Standing from the same spot!

| Yippee! I made it to Salida... |
| ...and then I saw a sign that blew me away! I had ridden 102 miles that day! I couldn't believe it! |
