BRIDAL VEIL FALLS: Pictures of Waterfall Near Telluride, CO - October 23, 2005
|
How to get there: From the town of Telluride,
go east out of town. Take the dirt road through the old mining area (photo directly below)
and continue up the switchbacks. Definitely use a 4-wheel drive vehicle! (I took
this photo in 2002 from the mining area and included it in my Lizard Head Pass pictorial.) |
|
I stuck the camera out of the passenger side of the truck for this one! |
|
Upward you'll go with mountains views to the north,
west and south ... |
|
In this shot, I'm looking back out towards
the canyon. The town of Telluride is just out of visibility down the canyon. Mt. Sneffels and some other massive mountains north of Telluride show themselves the higher you go! :) |
|
There it is! I'm actually not that happy with
the quality of my photos. I would estimate the vertical drop to be about 100 to 150 feet and its much more
stunning in person. Enjoy the photos, but I think this is one of those things
where you'll need to go there yourself to really take it all in. ;) |
|
I tried to zoom-in as best as I could on each waterfall.

Special thanks to my buddy Dave Ortiz (left) for
taking his truck up there ... and one token shot of me amidst the
snow. ;) To my regular visitors, I've got a lot more scenic stuff from Telluride and Ouray coming soon! -Steve 10/24/05 |
