Desert Pictures, somewhere east of Bakersfield, California, April 2001
	Woo-hoo! We spent an afternoon in the beautiful, dry desert to do some footage for our movie!
	Jodi won that Ford mini-truck last week in a contest. Amazing!
	I took this picture near dusk and really brightened up the picture. I just wanted to show you the mountains in the backgroun.
	Those trees were so funky. They looked half cactus, half yucca plant.
	I kissed a prickly pear cactus and got thorns all over my lip. :(
	There's Mark. Oh wow, I can't wait for you to see Garufi Goes to California, so you can see what happens in the desert! :P
