Steve's Report Card on the 2002 Hair Consultant Candidates!

Hi folks. While I will not formally endorse a candidate and only have 13 electoral votes, here is my report card on this year's candidates. I trust it helps. Also, CLICK HERE to read all the news so you can be an informed voter!

GRADING SYSTEM: "A" = Excellent, "B" = Good, "C" = Satisfactory, "D" = Unsatisfactory, "F" = Well, You Know (Note: Once again, a "C" is a satisfactory grade, meaning a candidate meets the requirement or expectation. If a candidate goes above and beyond, they will earn a "B" or "A")

Boki Donna Kendra (Boki, Donna, Kendra)

1) Leadership Qualities

Kendra Morrell: F Kendra made a bad impression with voters early on when she refused to show leadership or express any kind of vision for Steve's hair. She has rarely taken the initiative during the campaign and has nagged Steve about what she should do. Kendra makes Dan Quayle look like a good candidate.

Boki Evans: A Boki appears unruffled and unmoved by the intense criticism of his bald head in recent weeks. He seems to relish the ColoradoGuy media attention and has posted numerous statements sharing thoughts about Steve's hair. Also, he tells everyone about this web site in real life.

Donna Ward: B Donna has always welcomed the ColoradoGuy digital camera and any news story that is published about her. Donna has also been outspoken and passionate in the past when she has an opinion to voice about Steve's hair.

2) Knowledge (Ability to help Steve with his hair)

Attractive woman touches
Steve's hairKendra Morrell: D Kendra has stated repeatedly that she knows practically nothing about Steve's hair. However, her advice in the voter guide for Steve to brush his hair out everyday was very helpful.

Boki Evans: D Everyone agree Boki is well-meaning, but he fails to show that he really understands the long, naturally curly hair of Steve. Boki is masterful at being a public figure on ColoradoGuy, but will he be able to give practical advice during Steve's inevitable hair emergencies?

Donna Ward: C Donna served as Steve's Hair Consultant in 1999 and is well-acquainted with Steve's hair. Furthermore, Donna assisted Steve during the dred lock crisis and has mentioned the possibility of a "split-end snipping" to ensure quicker long-term hair growth.

3) Availability to Steve

Steve

Kendra Morrell: C Kendra promptly responds to Steve's e-mails and consistently posts on the Friendship Board.

Boki Evans: B Boki also promptly replies to Steve's e-mails and posts often on the Friendship Board. Steve also "bumps into" Boki often at Spice of Life Café, a local coffee shop in Manitou Springs.

Donna Ward: B Steve feels very comfortable to spontaneously visit Donna at her home or workplace, and often does. Also, Donna communicates with Steve via e-mail.

4) Availability to the ColoradoGuy Community

Kendra Morrell: C Kendra posts messages on the Friendship Board and seems to enjoy conversing with anyone on the board. She also visits the chat room regularly. Note: Kendra needs a Network54 log-in name.

Boki Evans: A At almost any given time, a visit to the Friendship Board will reveal numerous postings from Boki. He has openly expressed his availability to the ColoradoGuy community and has also posted numerous pictures of himself on this web site.

Donna Ward: D Donna needs to post messages more consistently on the Friendship Board. Although she is very friendly in person, she rarely engages in on-going discussions. Note: Donna needds a Network54 log-in name.

5) Commitment to the Overall Quality of Life in Manitou Springs

Manitou Springs Library Kendra Morrell: D A resident of Colorado Springs, Kendra needs to hang out Manitou Springs more often. She has visited twice and spent lots of money like a good tourist (boasting our tax revenue), but that's about it.

Boki Evans: A Boki loves Manitou and even knocked on doors to inform residents during the failed effort to save Higginbotham Flats in 1999. He helped organize the 1st annual Breakfast Buffet Pajama Party, owns the Manitou Springs Center for Photography and has almost gotten into fights by confronting people who throw their cigarette butts on the ground!

Donna Ward: A Donna owned and managed the greatest coffee shop in Manitou Springs, Stanley Arbuckle's Cafe, which was a major asset to the community. Sadly, the shopped closed when the Old Spa Building was condemned in 1999. (For the record, the closing was not her fault. Slumlord Bill Shirley grossly neglected the building.) Donna has befriended and encouraged MANY in town and has found beautiful ways to bless people. Without getting into specifics, Donna is an angel in this town.

6) Commitment to Giving Steve Food

Beautiful Cactuses! Kendra Morrell: D Kendra has never given Steve food. After observing Donna Ward capitalize on the "food issue," Kendra offered (almost mechanically) to buy Steve dinner, which he declined. Early in the campaign, Steve hinted to Kendra that if she baked him cookies and surprised him (long before Karen in Illionis did), she would land a fun, positive campaign article. However, she never did.

Boki Evans: C Boki has generously spotted Steve food and drinks at Spice of Life Cafe occasionally. Satisfactory.

Donna Ward: A Donna usually gives Steve something to eat when he visits the Ward residence. Even at her workplace, Donna often finds something to offer him in the way of goodies. Lastly, Donna titled a menu item "The Garufi Special" during her coffee shop days.

7) Commitment to Helping Steve Get a Girlfriend

Kendra Morrell: D Kendra has made no comments and completely dodged the issue on the voter guide.

Boki Evans: C Boki has given very encouraging words to Steve about "finding the right one."

Donna Ward: C Like Boki, Donna has also been very positive. Once in awhile Donna tells Steve that she knows a woman whom she plans to "set up" with Steve, but has never actually followed through.
