Ex-Hair Consultant Endorses BOKI EVANS Does an "About Face" on Donna Ward
March 22, 2002
MANITOU SPRINGS, CO -- In what some are considering a stunning
blow to the Donna Ward campaign and a definite boast for Boki Evans,
ex-Hair Consultant Rain Thrower, who served nearly two years ago, endorsed Boki Evans
while visiting Steve's apartment last week.
"Donna got my vote last time, but now I've got to support Boki."
said Rain, who spoke tenderly of the first male candidate in Hair
Consultant history.
"We were in Crossroads together and I really liked him.
We've been out of touch for a long time and have
wondered how he's doing."
In last year's election, Rain wholeheartedly endorsed Donna and
was planning to do the same this year. However, when she learned
that Boki's name was going to be on the ballot, she immediately
changed her mind, abandoning her long-time friend in Manitou Springs.
Boki Evans was understandably pleased with the endorsement, "I do remember
having a special feeling about her through our crossroads … and
felt a kind of connection to her. I knew inside, that the woman
was groovy! (I knew) that she was beautiful, inside and out."
Rain, who was public humiliated after being fired from her
job in February 2000, insisted that she harbors no bitterness towards Steve
and will always be committed to encouraging Steve to grow his hair
long.
"Well, I'll say this about Rain. She really didn't do much as Hair Consultant
and now everybody loves her ... she's kind of like
a Jimmy Carter that won't go away." exclaimed Steve.
Indeed, Rain's strongest point is her ability to handle the ColoradoGuy
press, a sharp contrast to other public figures
who have crumbled under the intense media scrutiny.
Last week Rain gain publicity when she exposed her tattoo
on her lower back. She has also been profiled in adventures
ranging from visiting Steve's tipi, her wedding pictures and being named one of the top ten
most influential people in his life.
