MANITOU SPRINGS, CO -- Scotty L., the professional web designer of this web site, formally endorsed Donna Ward for Hair Consultant in next week's election. Because he is the sole owner of Alpine Studio and has no employees, his vote guarantees that all of the small business' 18 electoral college votes will be awarded to Donna.

"What I like about Donna is she's always there for Steve … she's the person who has been there from the beginning. Donna Ward is my candidate!" exclaimed Scotty at Donna's campaign headquarters in Manitou Springs.

"Thank you Scotty. You just made my day." replied Donna, who appeared overjoyed at Scotty's public declaration of his full support.

In the presence of the ColoradoGuy press, Scotty colored in the Alpine Studio district and gave a copy of the electoral college map to Donna. When the election returns materialize next week, Donna's winning districts will be colored red, Boki Evans' blue, and Kendra Morrell's green.

Scotty, who is probably best known for last summer's pictures of his barbeque, admitted he did not vote for Donna last year, when she finished in second place in the 2001 Hair Consultant election. "I always voted for the hot candidate (he voted for the winner, Dawnn), but they've always flamed out. Donna is the one constant."

Scotty's generosity and excitement over helping the Donna Ward campaign has already reaped immediate benefits. After his endorsement, Scotty began calling friends and family throughout the country to ask them to vote for Donna next week.

Furthermore, Scotty created a committee titled PAC-DW, the "Political Action Committee for Donna Ward." To show he is very serious about helping Donna gain the honorable leadership position for helping Steve grow his hair long, Scotty wrote a check for $1million to cover Donna's campaign expenditures and fund efforts to maximize voter turnout.

"We're going to turn this into a real horse race." declared Scotty, who understands that Boki Evans (Donna's chief opponent) is very popular with the voters and is considered the favorite according to the most recent polls. "I'll do everything I can to help Donna win."

With actual voting beginning on Wednesday April 17, Scotty's endorsement is the third for Donna. Last month, Sherri A. the prominent worker at Spice of Life Café, gave her wholehearted support to Donna. Also, Manitou Springs resident Bud Ford Jr. announced his unequivocal support to Ward.

So far, Boki Evans has gained the formal endorsement of ex-Hair Consultant Rain Thrower and Kendra Morrell has the support of outgoing Hair Consultant Melissa Hempe.

"This is going to be a very interesting election, to say the least." said Steve Garufi. Although he will vote like everyone else next week, he has refused to divulge who he plans to vote for.
