Christian Alissa
Martha (Christian, Alissa, Martha)

1) Why do you want to be Steve's next Hair Consultant?

Alissa "AlamosaGirl" Rusk: I want to be Steve's next Hair Consultant because of the excitement involved. Steve really needs someone to whip his hair into shape and I truly could do that.

Martha (a.k.a. "Dancing Fool"): I just do!!! I want to help Steve grow his long, curly, beautiful hair. And, I have to be honest, I want to get fired! :)

Christian Stewart: *** NOTE *** Christian Stewart did not reply to this questionaire. He was given two weeks to complete it and received periodic reminders to fill it out and send it back in. He was explicitly warned that failure to respond to this questionnaire would be publicly announced on this voter guide, which could lead to personal embarrassment for him.

2) What is your vision for Steve's long, naturally curly hair?

Attractive woman touches Steve's hair while it was short Alissa: I want to see Steve use his mass of Italian wonder to its full potential! Get some length going, improve its quality, pick up worthy chicks!

Martha: I think that if Steve took his HC seriously and listened to her advice, he could have beautiful, long, naturally curly hair and a girlfriend in no time.

3) What would the first thing you'd do if elected Hair Consultant?

Alissa: First I'd jump up and down. Then I'd call Steve (while still jumping) and tell him what to do first--this is time sensitive--i.e. how long since he's had a trim, does he need to super condition, etc.

Martha: I would ask Steve what his concerns were for his hair, ask the Manitou & CG communities what their concerns were, and do research to give Steve the best advice for his hair. I would also come visit Steve and all the wonderful people in Manitou!

Beautiful Cactuses!4) Have you ever kissed a cactus? If so, tell us about that experience!

Alissa: On Thanksgiving 2002 in my aunt's solarium, lo and behold, I saw a beautiful cactus. Thinking of Steve I immediately bent down and gave that baby a smacking kiss. Oh! It was enthralling! I hope I always remember that experience.

Steve kisses a walking stick cactusMartha: Yes, I was chatting with Steve on Yahoo one day, and we were discussing kissing cactii so I went outside and kissed one. I was really really really careful, and it just felt funny, but it didn't hurt.

5) Why are you the best candidate?

Alissa: I'm the best because I'm more prepared, I see Steve all the time, I know a lot about hair, I'm willing to research about things I don't know, and above all I'm not doing this on a whim like some of my fellow candidates. No last-second announcements for me. I've been planning and thinking about this for a long time.

Martha: I don't know if I am the best candidate. I have been having so much fun talking with Alissa and Christian, but I do not really know too much about their experience level to give an answer to who the best candidate is.

6) The past three Hair Consultants left the position dishonorably and their respective terms are considered failures. (Donna Ward was fired for being a "do-nothing" Hair Consultant, Rain Thrower was fired for never communicating with Steve or the ColoradoGuy community, and John "JohnBoy" Fields resigned because of his own emotional problems.) How do you feel about all these failures in leadership? How will things be different with you as Hair Consultant?

JohnBoy last only two weeks. He SUCKED as Hair Consultant! :(Alissa: Disgraceful! I know Steve can be really really fussy about his hair but... shameful!

Martha: I think all three of those HC's are great people, and I am glad to know their stories. I don't know if I would call it a failure in leadership though. I think that I will be different because I can take Steve's crap. When he calls me whining and crabby when he's tired, I can handle it. I think Steve will listen to me, and if not, he'll fire me but not due to a lack of leadership, but because he just likes the drama of it!

7) Republican? Democrat? Just curious, how do you usually vote? Who'd you vote for in the 2000 presidential election?

Alissa: I think I'm registered as a Republican but I wasn't even old enough to vote in 2000.

Martha: I am a Republican, but I do not always vote Republican. I vote based on issues. I just usually agree with the Republicans! I voted for Bush in the 2000 election.

8) Do you plan to attend the first annual "ColoradoGuy.com Festival" in Manitou Springs, Colorado on Memorial Day weekend?

Alissa: Yes! Yes! Yes!

Martha: If I win, I will go! If I don't win, I might still go, but I don't know.

9) If you are Hair Consultant, how do you intend to communicate with the ColoradoGuy.com community?

Alissa: I'm on the boards every single day and don't plan to change that.

Martha: I will gladly answer any questions via email, the friendship board, or over the phone. I will answer any questions when I am visiting Manitou. I will also post a weekly update on the Friendship Board. Perhaps if Steve lets me, I will write an article every quarter about the status of his hair.

10) In your opinion, why doesn't Steve have a girlfriend?

Alissa: Why, Donna and I were just discussing this question. The answer, plain and simple, is that no girls are quite good enough for Steve. No one has yet measured up to the correctly high standards.

Martha: The only reason Steve does not have a girlfriend is that he is too picky, especially when it comes to location! He is a great guy, and I would date him…but I live in Texas…at least for the next month.

11) Yucca Plant, Telephone Pole, Goats Milk. Of those items, which do you relate to the most and why?

Alissa: Telephone Pole: I am tall and skinny and I'm all about communication.

Martha: Ummmmmmmm…none of the above.

12) Share one weakness about yourself that could impair your performance as Hair Consultant.

Alissa: Quite honestly, I can't think of anything. My circumstances will only improve as the year goes on.

Martha: I might lose my temper a bit if Steve doesn't listen to me or tries to fire me!!!

13) What is the best look for Steve's hair?

Alissa: LONG!

Martha: LONG & NATURALLY CURLY!!!!!

14) How does your family and friends feel about your candidacy for Hair Consultant?

Alissa: Of course my family and friends are behind me. They know me best. They know I can do it.

Martha: They think I'm a nut, but I don't care!!!!

15) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Alissa: All of it! Peppermint is pretty high on the list--it's unique just like me. Also, Chocolate is at the bottom--I'm better than the average.

Martha: CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!! I do have a raspberry sorbet in my freezer right now that is delicious though!

16) Do you like Chia pets? Why or why not

Alissa: Chia Pets! Yes! How much more fun could it be? I mean, you can't get fired, you never have to mow... It's win-win!

Martha: No, I just don't think they would fit the décor I have in my house.
