Candidate Laloo Announces Campaign Slogan!("Don't be a Boo-hoo! Vote for Laloo!" Released to Public)
March 6, 2004
ORANGE COUNTY, CA -- Hair Consultant candidate Laura "Laloo" Johnson, the apparent
front runner in early campaign polls, began her
electioneering with a slew of campaign activities, including the release
of her official slogan: Don't be a boo-hoo, vote for Laloo!
The attractive blonde also provided two photos of herself
to the ColoradoGuy press and a teenager in Idaho
wrote campaign song lyrics for Laloo in
the Poetry Forum. (See lyrics at the very bottom of this page.)
Laloo, who is vying to be elected the chief encourager and leader
for Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi in helping him grow his hair long, mocked
her two opponents (Phil and Chris) as "jealous of Steve's hair" and stated her desire to
"kiss Steve's hair" someday in person.
Steve and Laloo have never met in person, but have talked occasionally on the phone.
In one of the photos, Laloo's appears visibly
distraught, as if she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the time
of the picture. (See left) Public focus on the candidates'
past use of drugs became an issue last week when "Kansas Kelly" Martin (seen in the Sexy Knee article)
declined to run for Hair Consultant because of her past involvement with marijuana use. Since then, the ColoradoGuy press has adopted a "don't ask, don't tell" policy regarding past drug use.
Laloo seems very popular among "female regulars" on the
ColoradoGuy message forums, and has the support of people with nicknames such as "Jeep Chick",
"Sierra Girl", "Littlehands", and "The Village Idiot". Among
the 13 Hair Consultants in the history of Steve's long hair, 12 have been women, and
considering that her two opponents are males, this may be to her electoral advantage.
Actual voting for the 2004 Hair Consultant election will take place from April 15-18. Click here to review the electoral college and election rules.
