Phil McWilliams Announces Hair Consultant Candidacy!(Local Spice of Life Café Patron Offers No-Nonsense Policy to Help Steve Grow Out His Hair)
February 22, 2004
MANITOU SPRINGS, CO -- Phil McWilliams, a regular
patron at Spice of Life Café and "local face" in the
life of Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi, formally announced his intention
to be a Hair Consultant candidate in the upcoming mid-April election.
McWilliams, with his tough physical appearance including an impressive
"Irish Pride" tattoo, believes he will be a very competitive candidate
especially among local voters in
Manitou Springs and
Colorado Springs.
"You make such a big deal about this." stated Phil with a edgy tone in his voice,
"Here's what you do:
You go see your hairdresser (at the Marcia's Hair World) once a
month and you do everything that he says. You buy every hair product he tells you to buy.
You follow every direction he gives you. You do every last thing that he recommends."
"My policy is simple. When I'm your Hair Consultant, I won't take any
shit from you. You'll do what he says and your hair will grow from there." stated Phil.
Phil, who "learned how to fight and survive" growing
up on the streets of Phoenix, Arizona, has never visited
this web site and does not even have a computer. Yet his outsider
status may resonate with regular web site visitors who are disillusioned with the backbiting,
emotionalism, drama-queen behavior and "female cattiness" that have
plagued the ColoradoGuy
message forums
this winter.
Even Steve, who maintains of policy of neutrality throughout the election,
coyly admitted, "If you're looking for a real change, Phil might be your candidate."
After announcing his candidacy, Phil pulled up his t-shirt sleeve to
show off his eye-catching tattoos on his left forearm, which included a crown, Irish shamrock and harp. (Click adjacent

"I love my tattoos," Phil said to Steve, "You gotta have pride
in the way you look, and that's why it's cool that you're growing your hair long."
McWilliams is the third person to become a candidate in the upcoming mid-April
Hair Consultant election. He will be competing against
Financial Analyst Laura "Laloo" Johnson of California and Colorado Springs Bible study leader Chris Morton.
Phil lives in nearby Colorado Springs. He loves his girlfriend, enjoys
tinkering with cars and cheers for the Philadelphia Phillies.
