MANITOU SPRINGS, CO - Maybe Hair Consultant candidate Ben "One With The Tao" Paulson's slogan of "do nothing" should be changed to do something!

This afternoon on the telephone, the geology professor in Washington state helped and coached Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi fix a flat tire from his road bike ... the first time Steve has ever accomplished the feat by himself!

"We were in the chat room and I was 'going off' about how I have such a hard time replacing tubes on my road bike tires, and Ben just kept encouraging me." explained Steve (left photo below), with a big grin on his face as he held the fixed tire. "I couldn't believe I did it ... and much thanks needs to go to Tao."

On the phone, Ben appeared gracious: "You can do this, Steve. Road bike tires are tougher because they're thinner, but once you get the knack for it, you'll always be able to do it."

This positive article, along with a news story of Kansas Kelly recently sending Steve a care package, is a sudden change in the campaigning climate, in which the three major candidates (Ben, Kansas Kelly and Florida Pete) have been the recipients of brutally negative stories.

"Maybe all the stupid people with no sense of humor who are e-mailing and IM'ing me about the negative attacks will shut up now." exclaimed Steve.
