MANITOU SPRINGS, CO -- Erin F., a lifetime Manitou Springs resident and personal friend of Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi, announced her candidacy for Hair Consultant in the upcoming April 2005 election. An attractive blonde with beautiful long hair herself, Erin's campaign slogan is: "I don't need the limelight. I just want to help you reach your hair goals."

Erin pledged to continue to meet with Steve regularly (which they already do) to hold Steve accountable with healthy haircare routines, seeing his hairdresser regularly for split-end trimmings and using quality products from the Phyto Hair Care company.

"I use Phyto hair products myself, and they really help me." wrote Erin, who has grown her slightly wavy hair just below half way down her back. (Adjacent photo)

Erin explained why she chose to run for Hair Consultant in a press release:

"Steve needs a hair mentor not a consultant. I would like to see Steve reach his goals in attaining long hair. As a person who struggled for years to grow my hair out long, I feel I could give Steve the support he needs. There are wonderful products that he needs to try. I would do my best to see he kept up on maintenance I see him on almost a daily basis so I believe I could be his inspiration. I'm tough as they get when it's needed. I'm a shoulder to cry on if that's needed too. I just want to see Steve with hair he's happy with. Vote For Erin."

Erin was the focus of a 2002 ColoradoGuy article when she dropped a mocha that made a huge mess all over the floor of a Manitou Springs coffee shop. Erin also attended the 2004 ColoradoGuy Festival breakfast and had a nice-looking picture taken (adjacent photo) with British Extreme Ironinst Nick Hughes.

Along with expecting to win local electoral college districts such as Manitou Springs (29 electoral votes) and Colorado Springs (27), Erin may do well with male voters who vote merely based on physical appearance. It is no secret that many Manitou residents have had crushes on her, including Pony66, Mark O'Shea and John Boy.

"I asked out Erin as well and she rejected me, but that's okay. As long as she helps me with my hair, then that's all that matters" explained Steve, who has remained neutral in endorsing any of the five candidates who are running.
