The 2005 Hair Consultant Candidates VOTER GUIDE
Candidates Ben (Tao), Florida Pete, Kansas Kelly and Dr. Jon Answer Your Questions!
(Ben, Kansas Kelly, Florida Pete, Dr. Jon)
1) Why do you want to be Steve's next Hair Consultant?
Ben: To show Steve, and the rest of the Colorado Guy community, that Steve does
not need a hair consultant. It is clear that Steve already has a Hair
Consultant; his hair dresser.
Kansas Kelly: I want to be Steve's Hair Consultant because Steve is one of my dearest
friends. I actually do want to be a support & encouragement to him in the
the things that matter most to him. I am in regular contact with Steve
beyond the website, and I am a ColoradoGuy Member. Because I am so close to
Steve, I know that I am the only candidate that will have the ability to
hold Steve accountable in his hair growth efforts in a way that will
challenge him & encourage him on a regular basis.
Florida Pete: I expect Steve to be a better man with proper hair guidance and thourough consultation.
NOTE: Dr. Jon did not provide answers to this questionnaire.
2) What is your vision for Steve's long, naturally curly hair?
Ben:
I don’t have a personal vision of Steve’s long, naturally curly hair.
Steve has his own vision and it is clear that it is a vision he is
pursuing with little help from past or future Hair Consultants.
Kansas Kelly: My vision for Steve's hair is right in line with Steve's goals! He wants his
hair to be healthy & long! Together, we can achieve that through time,
effort, and special care to his beautiful hair!
Florida Pete: Maximum, healthy hair growth and the muttonchops he so desperately wants. (As stated by Steve himself on the frienship board.) We could work on that, though. Maybe Steve could sport a trial goatee for my first 100 days in office.
3) What would the first thing you'd do if elected Hair Consultant?
Ben: Nothing.
Kansas Kelly: I would encourage Steve to establish a Hair Consultant forum where
interaction regarding his current hair status can be publicly discussed. It
will keep the HC accountable, AND it will keep the people informed!
Florida Pete: Watch a "Baywatch" rerun!
4) How do your family and friends feel about your
candidacy for Hair Consultant?
Ben: They think it is a fun idea.
Kansas Kelly: I sensed some initial concerns when I expressed my decision to delve into HC
politics. After all, politics can get ugly, as this campaign has proved.
However, they have witnessed my committment to a clean campaign and they
have seen me endure criticism from the ColoradoGuy Press despite unpleasant
personal life traumas. They have always been proud of my character, my good
nature, and my devotion to the people I love. They stand by me now - as
always.
Florida Pete: They're pretty thrilled with my campaign. They're making signs for my National Convention.
The last six Hair Consultants have all left their terms of service dishonorably. (Five were fired; One resigned) How will things be different with you as Hair Consultant?
Ben: Things won’t be different. Duh, look at my campaign motto.
Kansas Kelly: Well, I'm not going to let Steve's HAIR down, I think everyone else was too concerned about Steve, THIS is about his HAIR.
Florida Pete: I'm not sure things will be different but it is my every intention to brown-nose my way through a full term as hair consultant.
6) So far, how do you feel about this year's campaigning by the
candidates? Has the campaigning been too negative?
Ben: Certainly not on my side. I have had few negative things to say.
Kansas Kelly: I think that for the most part, candidates have been respectful of each
other. I think the ColoradoGuy Press has a tendency to stretch the truth.
The result of which...hurt feelings, and raised elevation of likelyhood for
forum drama.
Florida Pete: No. The campaigning has been fair and and truthful, at least from my side.
7) Just curious: Bush? Kerry? Or Nader? Who do you support in this year's presidential election?
Ben: Kerry, and apparently that makes me a horse’s ass in some people’s eyes.
Kansas Kelly: Bush
Florida Pete: Bush.
Do you plan on attending the 2005 ColoradoGuy Festival (date undetermined) in Manitou Springs, Colorado?
Ben: If my financial situations allows it, I would love to be there.
Kansas Kelly: I'll be there! I had an amazing time at the 2004 ColoradoGuy Festival! I
won't miss the next one!!
Florida Pete: Uhm... sure.
9) What is your favorite news article and/or pictorial on this web site?
Ben: I like the one where I am called a horse’s ass. The ignorance in that
article makes me chuckle.
Kansas Kelly: I LOVE mid-sentence pictures of Steve! They CRACK ME UP! I am especially
fond of the article where Steve is addressing allegations that his
motivation to adopt a highway was to meet girls. Tee hee!
Florida Pete: The article where Steve was busted by Tara with a glob of snot on his sleeve.
10) Have you ever kissed a cactus?
Ben: No, but I did sit on one once. Ouch.
Kansas Kelly: Absolutely not and I have no plans to do so in the future. I've seen Steve
kiss a cactus on more than one occasion and I'm not inclined to torture
myself in such a way.
Florida Pete: Why would I want to do something like that? That's Steve Garufi's m.o.
