The 2006 Hair Consultant Chat Room Debate!Florida Pete, Sarah and Dave Converse With 16 Chatters About Steve's Hair! :)
The Hair Consultant Chat Room Debate was once again a major success!
It has become a wonderful tradition where Hair Consultant candidates converse with and answer the
questions from the ColoradoGuy community about my hair!
And just look at the adjacent photo to see all the chatters who participated at
one point. Hooray! We reached a high of 16 people at one point inside the chat room. Sniff, sniff ... this brings tears of joy to this webmaster's eyes! :)
Special thanks must be given to three of the four candidates, Sarah,
Dave and Florida Pete.
(Chris Teipel did not attend.) All three answered every question hurled at them,
and I've provided a brief report of candidates' answers below!
You can also read a full
and unedited transcript of the chat room discussion by
clicking here.
(A new window will open - Special thanks to "Maryland Guy" for offering this!)
So if you weren't in attendance, I dare say you totally missed out! Just look at the photo to the left:
It brought tears of joy to this webmaster's eyes to see "16" next to the chat link on the Friendship Board.
Sniff sniff!
The Hair Consultant chat room debate has definitely become an annual tradition of sorts.
You can read about previous debates from the 2004 election and the 2005 election.
I did my best to recapture some of the best issue-oriented discussions below. Also, please visit the
2006 Hair Consultant Election Headquarters Page, which
has all information about the candidates. Lastly, don't forget: Voting happens from Thursday, April 13
to Sunday, April 16. Stay tuned for specific details on how to vote!
What The Candidates Said At The Debate
Sarah
NOTE: Sarah's name in the chat room was "God's Chosen Angel."
1)jep3:
I assume there is no age requirement, Sarah are you familiar with all kinds and types of hair products?
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
oh of course
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
the point is to use enough product to be effective, but not distructive to the hair.
2)ColoradoGuy:
Sarah, what kind of a leader do you plan to be for the ColoradoGuy.com community?
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
I'll be a great leader. I will lead by example. We will grow our hair long together.
ColoradoGuy:
i kind of like that answer, sarah. thanks!
3)Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!): Vitimin E (and others) help in growing hair
long and healthy.
If elected, I will instruct Steve to begin taking a vitimin E
suppliment (if not a complete multivitimin, it all depends on what Steve needs most in his diet).
4)Scotott:
Angel, with the stress of graduating from high school,
having to determin a direction in life, should i go to school, should i work, etc.
Won't YOU have too much on your plate to be effective as HC
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
No, because high school is ending less than a month after the elections, then I'll
only have work and school part time. And I already know what I'm going to do
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
so nope, it wont be too much responcability.
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
And I'm accessable on my cell phone 24/7, and can ALWAYS call Steve back within about 2.5 hours, if not sooner
5)CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
Sarah and Steve could have a contest. See who's hair grows the longest, fastest
ColoradoGuy:
Tom, that's an interesting idea! I LIKE THAT!
MarylandGuy:
Great idea, Tom!
6)NUMERO1:
Should Steve use OTC shampoo or the pricey stuff from salons?
radialspokes:
good quality shampoo, from a salon is best
radialspokes:
or best, non animal products
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
Whatever is going to work best for Steve's hair.
7)Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
Clearly I'm the most devoted to your hair, Steve. I showed up on time, took the evening off of work, and am obviously dedicated to making your hair the longest and healthiest it can possibly be.
radialspokes:
anyone can call in sick!
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
I didn't call in sick
FloridaPete:
LOL! Get her DaveO!
CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
she didn't call in sick ! she got time off
CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
she acted responsibly
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
I asked my manager's manager if he would please pull some strings to get it off for me. And he convinced his manager to get it off for me.
radialspokes:
how do we know that? Maybe we should call your place of employment...
FloridaPete:
rolling eyes
8)Morganluver:
Sarah's got Rich's vote already, I guess I can tell you all that
Gods_Chosen_Angel:
tell Rich he is a good man
Morganluver:
ROFL ........ Rich says thanks, Steve
9)CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
who are you voting for Cheyenne ?
ColoradoGuy:
Cheyenne, this is arguably the most important and critical election in Hair Consultant history. For whom are you voting for?
CheyenneRose:
I don't have any idea... I am undecided
CheyenneRose:
alrighty then. ... (Sarah) my vote too. She is really sweet, has beena regular for a long time and has great hair
Dave Ortiz
NOTE: Dave Ortiz' name in the chat room is "Radial Spokes."
1)radialspokes:
i'm confitdant of the needs that Steve's hair requires
radialspokes:
No salad dressing, good shamppo amd good advice
sarah: beause Dave has probably tried salad dressing on his own hair, hence the reason he had to cut it off.
radialspokes:
well, salad dressing tends to catch dust and grit out in the windy West
ColoradoGuy:
Dave, I like your campaign message. It's clear and to the point.
2)radialspokes:
And i would like to state that as in counter t othe other candidates,
i would never let Steve use a horse hair brush. Only approved ones for salon us
3)radialspokes:
Too much resonsibility away from HC could cause irreperablre damage to steve's hair
4)radialspokes:
i still think my expertise in all lengths of hair is important for Steve's maintenance
Florida Pete
1)FloridaPete(Sarah has poor hair skills):
I had to close on a house. Steve's hair was more important to me
but I had to sign these papers just the same. Sorry I am late.
2) FloridaPete(Sarah has poor hair skills):
I get right back with important people. Steve is priority #1!
CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
define "right back"
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
But Steve can't be your number one priority if you're relocating your family and starting a new business. Dont forget that, Pete.
FloridaPete((Sarah has poor hair skills)):
Instantanious. Nano seconds.
ColoradoGuy: Thanks Pete. I like your answer!
3)ColoradoGuy: Pete, I'm still waiting for what kind of a public leader you will be?
FloridaPete((Sarah has poor hair skills)):
I'll be the Reagan of hair.
4)MarylandGuy:
Ok back to the debate -- Pete and Dave how do you plan to influence Steve to follow your direction when it comes to his hair?
FloridaPete((Sarah has poor hair skills)):
Money.
ColoradoGuy:
Money. Pete, I like that answer! Tell me more about that ... I need money!!!!
FloridaPete((Sarah has poor hair skills)):
I'll buy more advertising.
ColoradoGuy:
Sounds good to me, Pete!
5)FloridaPete(Sarah has poor hair skills):
In closing I'd like to thank my opponents DaveO and that what's her name.
Both of you are formidable candidates and may the best HC win.
6)FloridaPete(Sarah has poor hair skills): Fantastic debate.
I thank my opponents and the Colorado Guy community for showing here tonight.
Thank you one and all from the bottom of my heart
Chris Teipel
TheMayor131313:
Does Chris come on this forum?
ColoradoGuy:
No, Chris Teipel has never visited the forums.
ColoradoGuy:
I know - People probably won't vote for him b/c of it, but all I will say is, he's an amazing guy in real life!
CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
but, is he good for your hair ?
Gods_Chosen_Angel(VOTE FOR ME!):
oh I'm sure he is. But goodness, how can you run for HC and not visit the forums?
Miscellaneous Extras
1)ColoradoGuy:
To all candidates: How do you feel about Ben "One With The Tao" Paulson's pitiful
one-year reign as Hair Consultant?
ColoradoGuy:
(Personally, I think he's worse than Jimmy Carter was!)
radialspokes:
pitiful!
Florida Pete: Dreadful. Your male pattern baldness has suffered because of Ben.
Morganluver:
Hey btw ....... where IS Ben ? Shouldn't he have an interest in this ?
2)NUMERO1:
I'm still undecided. I can be bribed.
3)SanDiegoShana:
pete, how did you feel about the Al Gore thing?
FloridaPete:
Al Gore tried to steal Florida.
SanDiegoShana:
yeeeeeehawww pete!
ColoradoGuy:
Yeah but Pete, you won the popular vote last year but not the electoral vote... You kind of remind people of Al Gore.
CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
why he whined too ?
Scotott:
pete, stand up for yourself. the internet personality just called you a (expletive)
CigarSmokingMan(vote for Sarah):
would you kiss you wife on TV like he did ?
4) ColoradoGuy:
Remember folks, it's going to come down to the electoral college!
ColoradoGuy:
ARKANSAS HAS 21 ELECTORAL VOTES!!!
NUMERO1:
Steve, how many votes does Texas have?
Morganluver:
A R K A N S A A A W W W W W !!!!!!!!
ColoradoGuy:
Massachusetts and all those (expletive) northeastern states only have 4 electoral votes combined. Ha ha!
ColoradoGuy:
Texas has 10 electoral votes
5)TopherMo:
I'm at my parents house on dialup and the screen updates so slow I
can barely read it, but I think I saw most of the arguments. They want to use the line now, bye all!
6)ColoradoGuy:
Boy, I wish Tote was here!
radialspokes:
tote, where is that gal?
MarylandGuy(Paul - Supporting Sarah for HC):
Yeah, Tote really had some good questions last year
Gods_Chosen_Angel:
probably working. She's a busy lady.
7)MareP:
Hullo! I haven't decided.
MareP:
Pete has some good ideas, but then Sarah IS a girl with beautiful hair.... hard call
