ALAMOSA, COLORADO -- Hair Consultant candidate Dave Ortiz, Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi's bicycling buddy, recieved a major endorsement from former Hair Consultant Alissa (nicknamed "Alamosa Girl" - adjacent photos) as the best person to help Steve with reaching his long hair goals.

"I wanna endorse Mr. Ortiz." wrote Alamosa Girl, "Dave appears stable and while I have some doubts about his ability to handle harsh public opinion due to his kind-hearted nature, I think he'll do a pretty good job."

Alamosa Girl also criticized the other major candidates by implying Florida Pete is an exaggerator and questioning the intelligence and maturity of Sarah, who is only 18-years-old.

"This has definitely been a dirty election." stated Steve, "I'm disappointed in all of the candidates for their pettiness and name calling."

"yoyoyo ... I wanna endorse Mr. Ortiz (left photo). There it is. Why am I not endorsing any of the others? Fla. Pete is better served communicating on the obnoxious forum, which may well distract him from full HC duties. Not to mention that his claims seem overdone and far-fetched. I mean, 'I will work dilligently with each hair's end to reduce the partisan splits?!?!' Seriously! What is that? As for Sarah, she's really trying to angle that "pretty" vote. Also, she proudly drinks, though underage, so how she became an honors student is beyond me. In her defense, however, she has obviously dealt gracefully with a lot of flack. And your other buddy who can't even go on the forums? Dude, i just don't know. I like him and all, but i just can't back that.

Now, let's talk about Dave. I mean, he works actively against drunk driving and let's face it, drunk driving is definitely not long hair-friendly. He appears stable and while i have some doubts about his ability to handle harsh public opinion due to his kind-hearted nature, i think he'll do a pretty good job."

Perhaps Not A Stellar Endorsement After All

Considering that Alamosa Girl's term as Hair Consultant was considered a failure that ended with her being fired in disgrace for incompetence, some believe her endorsement can only hurt Dave's chances at the polls.

"I don't get this! I remember Alamosa Girl using the theme of 'oh I'm so cute, vote for me guys' when she ran for H.C. (in 2003). And is she going to say she NEVER DRANK when SHE was in college? I like Alissa, but she's a hypocrite for saying this about Sarah!" wrote a regular visitor on the forums who requested anonymity.

According to Steve, Alamosa Girl's downfall was her choice to totally "blow off" Steve and ColoradoGuy community (i.e. the forums) when she got a boyfriend and spent all of her time revolving around him. Things got so bad that she was mocked by many as the "Dead Beat Hair Consultant."

"That's Alamosa Girl's biggest weakness. Once she gets a boyfriend ... forget it. She's gone. She'll disappear and that's the last we'll hear from her until she breaks up with him." stated Steve, "She was even inducted into the Dead Beat Hall of Fame."

Dave Ortiz was not available for comment to say if he appreciated Alamosa Girl's endorsement.
