Dave Blasts Pete and Sarah as "Pitiful" And "Ashamed" Of This Web Site!
Dave Proudly Claims To Be Only Candidate With ColoradoGuy Bumper Sticker On Vehicle (March 23, 2006)
FARMINGTON, NEW MEXICO -- The Hair Consultant campaigning has reached
"high tide" with all of the name calling, negativity and personal accusations!
:(
Last night, Hair Consultant candidate Dave Ortiz
"ripped into" fellow candidates Florida Pete and
Sarah for not having a ColoradoGuy bumper sticker on their
vehicles, and implied their loyalty to the ColoradoGuy.com web site might be less than stellar.
"They're pitiful and sorrowful. I have a bumper sticker on my truck
and display it proudly for all my neighbors to see." said Dave, in a late evening phone conversation with Steve.
"My honest question to them is: Why don't they? Are they ashamed of this web site?" asked Dave.
In the adjacent photo, Dave stood beside his green pick-up truck with the
bumper sticker clearly showing, just before Dave and Steve went
bicycling round trip from South Fork to Creede.
"I know Sarah is nice, but let's face it, she's a teenager. Does
she even have a car?" chided Dave.
"Sarah is probably occupied trying to impress some dorky high school boys." uttered Steve, who has been
generally unimpressed with the quality of candidates this year, "Or maybe she really is
embarrassed about my web site ... I'm just really turned off by all the candidates right now."
According to this web site, all people are welcome to have a free ColoradoGuy bumper sticker
if they agree to put it on their vehicle and many have partaken
in the offer. (Adjacent photos: Two ColoradoGuy bumper stickers on vehicles in the Colorado Springs area.)
"I have had a lot of people ask me, 'What is ColoradoGuy.com?' because of the bumper sticker." added Dave.
Some believe Dave's "comparing and contrasting" of himself with other candidates is
based on him only gaining 15% of the vote behind Sarah (46%) and Florida Pete (36%) in the latest poll.
(Local Chaffee County candidate Chris Teipel only garnered 3%.)
Like many politicians sometimes do, Dave went on the offensive to hopefully gain more attention among voters.
In defense of Florida Pete, it is rumored he may have a bumper sticker on his work truck,
but if it is true, he is guilty of laziness for never taking a picture of it to offer proof on the forums.
