Passaic River Pictures, November 2000
Yippee! The first thing I did when I got home to New Jersey was visit the Passaic River! :) Click here to read the article I wrote about my 80 mile trip.
A worn-out tire rest peacefully against a tree near the river. (Pine Brook, NJ)
Just below the Route 10 bridge on the Livingston side. Guys! This is where I camped out the first night.
Guys, this is where I lost my waterproof camera because of a log jam against the bridge. The water level was much higher, so the logs were submerged in the water. And nope, I didn't find my camera anywhere. :).
That's in Chatam, NJ. The river is still really beautiful down there.
There's lots of litter in the water once you get to East Hanover.
That's the Route 46 bridge, looking south in Wayne. Nice pic.
I took this one in my hometown of Fairfield, looking south from the Horseneck Road bridge.
Oh! I like this picture. A rusted swivel chair overlooks the river in Pine Brook.
I'd say the only time the Passaic gets attention is when it floods and reeks havoc on surrounding suburbs. Ah well, it was SO GOOD to see the river again! :)
