 | Our first major expedition was touring the Pikes Peak Highway.

 | I was so happy! I hadn't been to the top since I hiked it last year! |

 | Near the Devil's Playground, we spotted a bunch of yellow-bellied marmots and I made a pictorial out of it. |

 | Near the summit, a view to the west and southwest. Somewhere down there is The Crags trail and just below that pointed mountain in the top right is Cripple Creek. |

 | It was really cold outside, and so I got into the summit house as quick as possible! ;) |

 | Okay! While at the top, the weather became rather nasty with sleet and then hail coming down! :-P |
 | And as we drove back down, it began to downpour pretty hard! |
 | It's become a tradition to always get a picture of that sign that reads, "HOT BREAKS FAIL." |
 | No guardrails, snow in late May and amazing scenery. |
 | Still above timberline, these folks were dancing in the sleet/snow/hail. |
