Steve and Richard on a Saturday Afternoon in Pueblo, June 2001
Richard and I had a fantastic conversation throughout the afternoon. He touched my heart. This guys ROCKS! |
We were waiting for Toni to get off work, so we visited a couple of bars and drank sodas to get out of the hot sun. |
Richard has lived in Pueblo his entire life. It's a city of 100,000 people that is 40 miles south of Colorado Springs. At one time, Pueblo was so booming in the steel industry that it was called the "Pittsburgh of the West." |
He took me to the home he is restoring. The structure looks like it's in shambles, but Richard will take care of it! :) |
Check out the cactus! There are beautiful cactuses everywhere in Pueblo! Woo-hoo! |
I am told Pueblo has more bars per capita than any other city in the U.S. After driving around town, I believe it. :) |
