Roaring River, Rocky Mountain National Park, July 2001

As we were approaching Old Fall River Road, we found this little river stream rather interesting. |

It turns out this river became a raging river in 1982, when a dam broke upstream. Supposedly it brought down so much water that people died from the sudden flooding, not to mention that it hurled down all sorts of rocks and forest debris down into the valley. |

Although the flood was 19 years ago, the rocks are still there as a reminder of the flood. Nice pic! |
