As we were approaching
Old Fall River Road in
Rocky Mountain National Park,
we found this river stream interesting. |
It turns out this river became a raging river in 1982, when a dam broke upstream.
It brought down so much water that the sudden flooding was dangerous to campers downstream,
not to mention that it hurled down rocks and forest debris down into the valley. |

Although the flood was 19 years ago, the rocks are still there as a reminder of the flood. Nice pic! |
