Brunette Refuses To Touch Steve's Hair
January 22, 2001
COLORADO
SPRINGS, CO - A local brunette woman refused to touch
Steve’s naturally curly hair at a social
gathering of friends yesterday.
Carolyn Miller, who invited Garufi to join with her friends Brooke
and Charity, enjoyed a fun Sunday afternoon of bowling and shooting
pool.
However, as they were playing at the Old Chicago’s billiard hall,
a casual discussion about hairstyles quickly evolved into a heated quarrel
that compared straight and curly hairstyles.
“I just pointed out that our side (Carolyn and Steve) had long, naturally
curly hair
and they both had straight hair. And I wanted to know if they were
jealous or had any issues with that.” said Steve.
After his teammate Miller
happily touched and stroked
Steve’s hair, the taunts escalated and reached a pinnacle
when Steve stuck his dark locks in the face of Brooke, a
23-year-old brunette and college student.
“Carolyn was happy to touch my hair. We’re real close from taking
Journey together..(but)
I just thought Brooke would want to touch it as well.”
With Steve’s full head in front of her, the brunette exhibited a
visibly disturbed face and folded her arms. Eyewitnesses say she
lifted an arm over Steve’s head, but only momentarily, apparently as a mocking gesture.
Asked why she refused to touch Steve’s hair, Brooke refused to comment.
“In the end, she (the brunette) missed out. My hair is really
soft and nice to touch. Finally it's getting long
where I’m out
of the hideous afro stage.” Steve replied, who along with Miller
defeated their friends 4-3 in a best of seven series of eight ball.
Julie Taylor, a local critic of SteveGarufi.com had unfavorable
remarks over the incident. “You throw up in front of
a girl.
You
have a relationship with a tennis ball
and who cares about your hair?
You just met her that day and you ask her to touch your hair? What is up with you?”
