Dawnn DiVito Predicts Victory on Election Eve
July 25, 2001
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- With voting to begin this Sunday, incumbent hair
consultant Dawnn DiVito
predicted a decisive victory as she campaigned last week at the Horizons 37 graduation ceremony at Rising Star Communications.
"Look at all these awesome people who are going to vote
for me. I just know in my heart that I'm going to win."
declared Dawnn, Steve's hair consultant for the past five months.
"Looking at the electoral college, I can't see how
Dawnn wouldn't win." Steve Garufi asserted.
DiVito, who is now favored to win New York (11 electoral votes) and Tennessee
(6 electoral votes), has even climbed to a statistical dead-heat with
Donna Ward in the electoral rich Garufi Family District (54 electoral votes).
"It is has been so much fun being Steve's hair consultant ... as far
as I'm concerned, that's my hair!"
After celebrating the graduation of Horizons 37, a
personal growth class which Dawnn worked
as a staffperson, the current hair consultant interacted with many voters who have been absorbed
in the SteveGarufi.com media coverage of this year's election.
Tim Banks was impressed with a recent e-mail DiVito
sent to some of Steve's friends, where she openly challenged Steve
to get a girlfriend.
"I loved what she had to say. Dawnn is all quality ...
she's got my vote." said Banks, a member of Horizons 38.
Ultimately, it appears this election will be a referendum on
DiVito's performance as hair consultant since her
swearing-in to the position in March.
To her friends and supporters, Dawnn is considered a
"God send" to Garufi's social life. She is viewed as a committed and
adventurous friend who has brought stability to Steve's hair and
emotional life, and already many are rating her as the best hair
consultant in history.
However to critics, including Donna Ward and Nadine Peterson supporters, DiVito's
term will be equated with Steve's controversial pony tail (which he wears at his counseling internship) and
what some mock as her "ratty-looking hairdo." Dawnn has also been accused of being pushy
and Donna Ward described her as a "brown noser (who is) sucking up to everyone to get their votes."
On Thursday evening, August 2, when all votes will be officially tallied, the SteveGarufi.com community will see whether DiVito's confident prediction of victory was warranted.
