FLORENCE, CO -- Giving into the temptation of self-promotion while dining out, Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi snuck one of his business cards under the plastic table covering at Phil & Cindy's Homestead Restaurant in Florence, Colorado.

While co-owner Phil Ladden is a friend of Steve and proud sponsor of this web site, it remains to be seen whether he'll appreciate people seeing the business card with the freaky-looking picture of Steve on the front. The business card could very well "spook out" patrons of the restaurant who happen to sit at that particular table.

"I hope they don't find out. I could get in trouble." uttered Steve, who admitted placing the business card impulsively.

At this time, it is unknown whether the ColoradoGuy business card, in the smoking section near the fireplace, has been spotted by anyone in the restaurant.

"I give Phil advertising so why can't I advertise a little in his restaurant?" questioned Steve, after gaining his compsure and digging into his delicious steak and eggs breakfast. (See bottom right photos)

"Yeah, but he pays you to advertise. You didn't pay him and you didn't even ask for his permission. Some people might have a problem with that." wrote Erica in the Chat room, who's known as "Darkness Inside" on the Poetry Forum.

Steve has been involved in numerous "publicity stunts" with promotional business cards. He once placed a cheesy-looking index card on a Sonic Drive-In speaker. Inspired by his so-called boldness, the next week Steve and friend Christine trekked throughout the Colorado Springs area placing more index cards at popular and well-known landmarks. In December 2003, Steve adopted a policy of promoting his web site by responding to all junk mail that comes to him with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
