MANITOU SPRINGS, CO -- Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi's woeful dating life took another stunning blow when his request for a date with a Manitou Springs woman was soundly rejected.

As Steve asked her out at Spice of Life Café in Manitou Springs, the anonymous woman (known as Erin) rejected Steve's plea before he even completed the question.

"I don't want to hurt your feelings, but you're definitely not my type. Let's just be friends." replied the woman with attractive long hair.

Shortly after, Erin admitted there was a lot more behind her decision to say 'no' to Steve's date offer.

"I hate how he's always talking about not having a girlfriend. That's a huge turn-off … there's a lot of other things I could say as well but I won't."

Later on, Steve admitted his feelings were hurt, but seemed to take the rejection in stride. "Getting the 'Just friends' speech is the worst thing to hear. I don't know what to say right now … I'm stunned. I thought she was going to say 'yes.'" said Steve.

According to the Internet personality, Steve has not been on a "real date" in over twelve months and has been humiliated before at his morning hangout in Manitou Springs. Just last year, a café worker became terribly sick after merely thinking about the possibility of dating Steve in a romantic relationship.

"With (Erin), I knew she liked the article about her spilling her mocha, so I thought maybe I had an 'in' there. Well, apparently not." reflected Steve.
