HOORAY! Alissa wins! Our dear friend, affectionately known as "Alamosa Girl" on the Friendship Board, is my brand spankin' new Hair Consultant!

CONGRATULATIONS ALISSA! :)

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Alissa was officially elected to the position of Hair Consultant this month. It's my Hair Consultant's job to help me grow my naturally curly hair as long as possible. She's a "go to" person: Someone to ask for advice, a listening ear when I need to vent, and heaven forbid if I ever think of cutting it, my Hair Consultant would be my "sponsor" of sorts to convince me to not do it!

Here's what Alissa wrote in an official press release shortly after the election:

I am so honored and excited! Thank you, thank you to all of you who voted for me: thank you for all your confidence and your trust in me to do what is best for Steve's hair. I will do my best to live up to the best of the standards that other hair consultants have set. I know I can do this job well and I am so amazed and the fabulous voter turnout and rather shocked at the overwhelming results. Thank you to all, and to Steve--the journey begins!
