Swissvale ... What were the first things that popped into your head?

From those I have talked to, most think of some exquisite European town in the Alps with lots of ski slopes and mountain scenery. Perhaps something like Vail or Breckenridge, but much more European. Ah, the images of romantic honeymoon cabins and cozy chalets with large fireplaces. A ritzy tourist destination for sure, right?! :)

Well, good ol' Swissvale, Colorado is a rural and unincorporated area between Cotopaxi and Salida inside Bighorn Sheep Canyon in western Fremont County. The views are definitely pleasant, with pinion covered hills and rugged cliffs surrounding the Arkansas River. But um, this ain't no ritzy ski town! :p)

Personally, I love these kinds of small Colorado towns, and I did my best to photograph some of the basic sites for you! :)

PICTURES OF SWISSVALE, COLORADO ...

	I pulled over at the Swissvale sign on Highway 50 and felt up for the challenge of making an interesting pictorial. :)
	Near the liquor store, I took this picture facing north with some very interesting reddish sandstone mountains behind.
	Here are some of my other Colorado small towns: Telluride, Yellow Jacket, Villa Grove Hartsel, St. Elmo, Twin Lakes, Creede Westcliffe, Texas Creek, Nathrop, Poncha Springs Guffey, Victor, Alma, Bonanza, Buena Vista
	There is actually one retail establishment in Swissvale, and that's this liquor store. (The owner inside was very friendly!)

	Now I must confess, I was definitely struggling with boredom again as I had on Sunday in downtown Buena Vista, and so I smoked another cigar as I walked around. :p)
	I drove a bit east of town and took this picture while on driving. :)
