VAIL PASS! Winter Rocky Mountain Scenery Near Vail, Colorado (January 28, 2006)

Now I will admit this is not the most exciting
or extensive pictorial, but since I've been recently photographing many of Colorado's passes,
here's a small collection of Vail Pass! Vail Pass is located just east of
the popular ski town of Vail, and I begin with this adjacent picture of the
mountain views looking east in the town of Vail. |

This is a fairly steep pass heading eastbound on Interstate 70,
and I just might bike this pass next summer! The summit
of Vail Pass doesn't have much flair to it, and there was merely this sign.
I actually just pulled over, stuck my camera out, and snap! ;) |

as I headed down the pass. Look at all the snow! :)

Again, I took this picture while driving on I-70. Don't worry, I was safe! Just a mile or two at the bottom of this hill is the base of the Copper Mountain Ski Resort. |
