Waldo Canyon Loop Trail: Local Hike Between Manitou Springs & Cascade, Colorado - September 22, 2002
From Manitou Springs, take Route 24 west up Ute Pass. About two miles up, the parking lot will be on your right. |
Lisa, Jae and Chaya hiked along with me. We had lots of fun (as you'll see)! |
Early on the path goes along Route 24, but the views get much better! |
Waldo Canyon actually is adjacent to Williams Canyon, and there's a connecting trail to each other. |
Alright, after about two miles, you'll reach a fork where the 3.5
miles loop begins. (Personally, I prefer going left.)
OH! AT THIS POINT, I BEGAN TAKING PICTURES OF PEOPLE'S BUTTS! :) |
Go left and you'll gradually walk an upgrade through thick forest for a good while. |
Ahhhhhhhhh! Look at the lovely leaves! :p) |
Just look at how cute Chaya's butt looks as she runs. Doesn't she look like a cartoon dog? |
Then Jae grabbed my camera and took a picture of my butt. (Jae is the one who I beat in Scrabble this summer.) |
In the middle of the loop, WHAM! You're hit with an amazing view of Pikes Peak, surrounding mountains and a nice grassy area.
This spot is great for picnics, personal reflection or spending time
with a special friend!
By the way, that's Lisa. Everyone thinks she's really attractive and Lisa says it's because she's a blonde. Check out when Lisa and I hiked Lower Barr Trail and the Manitou Incline! |
Every time I see Pikes Peak these days, I'm always thinking about my hike to the summit! :) |
Lisa got a shot that I really like of me! :) |
So there's a picture of Lisa's butt, who was showing off her yoga abilities. I'm telling you, this one spot on the trail is SO WORTH ALL THE EFFORT! |
Last but not least is Jae's behind. She really stuck
it out for the camera and it's not really that big. |
Look at these cactuses! Hey, if you're into cacti, please visit my new site: Cactus Lovers.com! :) |
Sigh! There were cute little cactuses all throughout the eastern parts of the loop! |
I zoomed-in on downtown Colorado Springs. Pretty nice! ;)
