Photos September 22, 2001 - Today I traveled throughout Teller County (west of Colorado Springs)
to explore the beautiful fall colors happening in the mountains. Teller County is well known for
having many aspen groves that dazzle autumn leaf peepers.
The scenery along State Highway 67 between Divide and Cripple Creek
is especially popular during the fall season.
My favorite picture on this page! An array of pretty yellow leaves.
Shimmering aspen golden leaves line the road. By the way, I was on the dirt road that
leads to a campground area and trailhead for the Crags.
I must admit that after living in New Hampshire for 2 1/2 years,
I have become spoiled from seeing the oranges and reds that those forests commonly display.
However, much of Colorado's high country has much to offer as well with autumn foliage.
